News Brief: ICJ Trial

The court case between Japan and China over the Senkaku Islands began this morning. This started off with China presenting evidence including news articles.

Unfortunately for them, some of the articles were considered biased by the Japanese because of their publication source. Japan’s evidence not only included news sources, but also maps and excerpts from treaties that were all approved by the judge's panel.  Half of the China's stipulations and 4 of Japan's 11 stipulations were accepted.
